WebData

DataCapture installs systems using WebData, our own web-based SCADA system. WebData allows the rapid development of screens to display data collected either automatically from connected devices or manually from users.

WebData was built from the ground up to interface easily with standard relational databases like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. This capability means it is ideal for filling the gap between control and monitoring systems at one end of the spectrum and corporate databases at the other.

WebData is based on open web standards and so fits in very easily to company networks. The server runs on Linux and clients can run on Windows, Linux or Mac OS. Clients are free, allowing you to install the system you really want without being held back by licences or cost.

Typical applications include:

  • Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Company dashboards
  • Production tracking
  • Stock control
  • Regulatory recording

DataCapture have used over 30 years of experience to develop WebData. It can scale to tens of thousands of datapoints while still remaining lightweight and responsive.
